In the summer of 2021, a life was tragically cut short in a south Kansas City hotel. Fred Brewster, an 18-year-old male, was fatally shot on Sunday, August 8, 2021. The incident occurred before 1 p.m. inside a room at the Extended Stay hotel situated in the 500 block of East 105th Street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Brewster suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite any efforts to render aid, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hotel.
