On May 24, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Kansas City police officers patrolling near 31st Street and Van Brunt Boulevard heard gunfire and promptly responded to the scene. They discovered 37-year-old Kevion D. Bifford, known in the local music community as rapper 2Gunn Kevi, unresponsive inside a vehicle at a car wash near the intersection.
