A 22-year-old man was shot to death late Wednesday night in Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Pierre DeAnthony Washington.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of Laurel Avenue S.W. Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards said West Precinct officers responded to the scene initially on a report of a car crash.
