Travars Montez Wages Jr., a 23-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was shot and killed on January 30, 2020. The incident took place in the early morning hours when Birmingham police responded to a call reporting gunfire near a residential area. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Wages suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by paramedics to stabilize him, Wages was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to a nearby hospital.
