Stanley Chen, a 60-year-old man from Waikiki, went missing on May 31, 2007, while fishing at Bamboo Ridge, a popular but dangerous fishing spot near Sandy Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. A witness last saw him at the water’s edge early in the morning, but when the witness returned, Chen was no longer visible. His fishing gear, including a cooler and poles, remained set up, suggesting he may have encountered trouble in the water.
