In October 2022, nine-year-old Koa Bernstein, his younger brother Kush, and their mother Abigail were last seen in Honolulu, Hawaii. The family was seen at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor, where they were planning to embark on a year-long sea journey. Abigail had reportedly met an individual online and was planning to travel with him on his boat.
