Lance Perkins, a 43-year-old art director, was last seen on October 23, 2016, in San Diego, California. He was in the city working on an event called *Casa De Las Calaveras* when he experienced health issues. That evening, Lance called 911, reporting blackouts, and was transported to the UCSD Medical Center. However, after waiting for several hours without being treated, Lance left the hospital around 10:00 p.m.
Security footage showed him walking away from the hospital, heading north on Front Street and west on Dickerson or Dove.
Following his departure, Lance made several more calls to 911 and attempted to contact friends early in the morning on October 24. His last phone call was at 6:16 a.m., after which his phone died, and he has not been seen or heard from since. Lance had a medical condition requiring regular medication, which has heightened concerns about his safety. His family, deeply worried, noted that it was highly unusual for him not to check in, as he regularly stayed in contact with them.
Search efforts have continued over the years, and police have asked the public for help, but no solid leads have emerged. Lance’s family also started a GoFundMe campaign to hire a private investigator to assist in the search, expressing their heartbreak and desperation to find him.
