Abraham Gutierrez, a 72-year-old transient man, was last seen on June 8, 2008, in San Diego, California. Known to struggle with a gambling addiction, Gutierrez had told his friend, Hector Munoz, that he owed money to loan sharks and was in need of funds to repay them. Gutierrez relied on social security checks, which he received through Munoz’s address. However, two checks had gone unclaimed, raising concern for his welfare.
