Jason William Dies, a 20-year-old petty officer in the U.S. Navy, was last seen in San Diego, California, on June 18, 1991. Having just returned from deployment aboard the USS Horne following Operation Desert Storm, he was on leave and scheduled to report to his new duty station in Pensacola, Florida, by July 18. However, he never arrived, and when he failed to show up, the Navy initially classified him as absent without authorization and later as a deserter. Despite this classification, his fam ...
