Skeletal remains found by transit workers as they were performing asbestos abatement in the subway tunnels underneath West 48th Street between Park and Madison Avenues. Decedent appeared to be undomiciled, and living in a small room off the tracks. Anthropological analysis placed the time since death at 2 years, but there was a newspaper associated with the remains dated from February 1997.
