Property owners were clearing underbrush from a wooded lot at 750 South Beltline Boulevard when they discovered skeletal remains and clothing. The remains were scattered over an area of several hundred square feet by scavenging animals. The area is a flood plain near a creek.

  • Scar/mark: The skeletal remains have healed facial and nasal fractures suggesting that the individual may have had facial scarring. Additionally, the remains have healed right rib fractures indicating blunt trauma to the chest.
  • Other distinctive physical characteristic: The individual was missing all of his teeth antemortem and probably did not wear dentures based on significant bone loss in his jaws. His jaw may have appeared crooked during life due to asymmetry of the lower jaw.
