On April 7, 2026, the body of an unidentified male, later identified as Walter Bruce Hatch, was discovered in San Diego, California. Living in a culvert behind a shopping center, the decedent appeared to have been experiencing homelessness at the time of his death. Security staff found him unresponsive during routine patrols and promptly called 911 for assistance. Unfortunately, upon the arrival of emergency services, Walter Bruce Hatch was pronounced deceased at the scene.
