On December 11, 2023, the body of a 51-year-old male, Gerardo Reinado-Pena, was discovered on the northbound Interstate 805 in San Diego, California. In the early morning hours, according to preliminary investigations, Reinado-Pena was seen running across the freeway, east to west. Despite attempts from a vehicle in the number 3 lane to avoid a collision, the decedent was struck. Tragically, he was subsequently hit by several other vehicles before emergency services were notified.
