On January 7, 2022, the body of Carlos Alberto Montes, a 52-year-old Hispanic male, was discovered by California Highway Patrol officers and Cal-Trans workers. Carlos was found deceased within a homeless encampment in San Diego, California. The discovery of his body has raised questions and initiated an investigation by local authorities to piece together the circumstances leading to his untimely death.
