The Crimes of Serial Killer Michael Elijah Adams

Early Life and Introduction to Train Hopping

Michael Elijah Adams, known as "Dirty Mike," was born in Michigan. At the age of 14, he began hopping trains, embracing a transient lifestyle that offered freedom from his troubled upbringing. This nomadic existence led him into the world of the Freight Train Riders Association (FTRA), a group of drifters and train hoppers, some of whom were disassociated Vietnam veterans. These murders typically occurred in secluded areas along the railways, making them difficult to investigate due to a lack of evidence and witnesses. The transient nature of both the perpetrator and the victims contributed to the challenges faced by law enforcement in connecting the crimes. ...Read More
