On July 15, 2023, 40-year-old Andre Longmore fatally shot four neighbors in the Dogwood Lakes subdivision of Hampton, a city in Henry County, Georgia. Timeline of Events
July 15, 2023 (morning): Between roughly 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., Longmore shot and killed three men and one woman in Dogwood Lakes. Authorities quickly identified him as the suspect and issued murder warrants.
July 16, 2023 (afternoon): Following an overnight and morning manhunt, officers encountered Longmore in Jonesboro, Georgia. During a gunfight, Longmore was shot and killed. A Henry County deputy and two Clayton County police officers were wounded during the confrontation.
