Shortly before 4:00 a.m., police officers responded to a scene in the 1300 block of Temple Place, near Page Boulevard, where an SUV had crashed into a fire hydrant. Inside the vehicle, authorities discovered Angela Kabugu alongside twenty-eight-year-old Nelson Hall Jr. Both individuals were unresponsive and had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene, marking a double homicide that shook the local community.
Investigators determined that the shooting likely occurred while the victims were inside the vehicle, leading to the subsequent crash. Angela lived in the 1400 block of North 16th Street, while Hall resided in the 2100 block of Mullanphy Street.
