In the winter of 2022, a tragedy unfolded in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood of St. Louis, forever altering the lives of two families. On the evening of December 3rd, police responded to a call of a shooting on Northland Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of 14-year-old Jacob Ashford on a porch. The young male had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The senseless act of violence cut short a young life and left a community searching for answers.
