On December 5, 2022, Aaron Badolato, a 34-year-old resident of Columbia, Missouri, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Newtown Drive in north Columbia. According to reports, Columbia Police officers responded to a call about shots fired at approximately 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Badolato in the front yard with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite receiving medical aid and being transported to a local hospital, Badolato succumbed to his injuries.
