On October 3, 2018, Louis L. Green Jr., a 23-year-old resident of Columbia, Missouri, was tragically shot and killed outside an apartment complex located at 722 Demaret Drive. The incident occurred in the afternoon, around 3 p.m., when Green was in the front yard of a duplex. He was shot by an unknown suspect and was quickly transported to University Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Green was pronounced dead shortly after 4 p.m. due to the severity of his injuries.
