On May 17, 2024, 56-year-old Louis Wardell Hart Jr. was fatally shot during a confrontation outside a White Castle restaurant on Clark Lane in Columbia, Missouri. Upon arrival, Columbia Police found Hart with gunshot wounds; he was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
