Javone Montre Polumalu Hodges, a 19-year-old African American male from Austin, Texas, tragically lost his life on June 20, 2021. Hodges was fatally shot at a birthday party in South Austin just after midnight. The incident occurred after Hodges and Coolidge Humphries, also 19 years old, had a brief argument over unidentified females. Witnesses reported that Humphries fired multiple shots at Hodges, ultimately leading to his death. Another young man was also injured in the shooting but survived.
