Joseph Hecht, aged 38, tragically lost his life on July 25, 2020, in Columbia, Missouri. Hecht was fatally shot in downtown Columbia near the intersection of Eighth and Locust streets. The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m., and Hecht was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle before police or emergency medical services arrived at the scene. Despite medical efforts, Hecht succumbed to his injuries the following day.
