On April 17, 2011, Donnell Coleman, a 27-year-old resident of Columbia, Missouri, was fatally shot in his apartment located at 7711 North La Porte Avenue in Boone County. The incident occurred late at night, between 11:35 and 11:40 p.m., when multiple unknown suspects forcibly entered Coleman's residence and shot him.
