Daniel Roy "Danny" Davis, a 16-year-old from Speedway, Indiana, tragically lost his life on November 17, 1978, in what became known as the Burger Chef murders. On that fateful night, Danny, along with three other young employees—Jayne Friedt, Mark Flemmonds, and Ruth Shelton—was working at the Burger Chef restaurant in Speedway.
