Michael J. "Red" Holt, a 25-year-old resident of Elkhart, Indiana, was found dead in his apartment on May 16, 1995. His body was discovered by family members at his residence located at 907 Prairie Street. An autopsy revealed that Michael had been shot to death. There were no signs of a struggle or forced entry into his apartment, suggesting that the perpetrator might have been someone he knew or someone who had easy access to his home.
