On a summer evening in Elkhart, Indiana, the life of 28-year-old Deontae Harris was tragically cut short. On July 8, 2021, just before 9 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting with injuries in the 600 block of Cleveland Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Harris suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but sadly, he was later pronounced deceased.
