When officers from the South Bend Police Department arrived at the 1125 Queen Street address in response to reports of shots fired, they found Leah's body in the street.
In the years that followed, the investigation into her death became a cold case. Despite numerous efforts by law enforcement and appeals to the public for information, no arrests have ever been made in connection with her murder. Leah, who was the mother of two young children, had her life taken in a senseless act of violence that has left her family searching for answers for over two decades.
