In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 19, 2021, in South Bend, Indiana, the life of 22-year-old ShaeLeigh Zeiger was tragically cut short. She and her 31-year-old boyfriend, Brandon Smith, were shot and killed near the intersection of Franklin and Ewing Street at approximately 2:45 AM. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered both Zeiger and Smith with gunshot wounds and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
