In the late summer of 2014, the life of Daniel David Thompson, a 28-year-old male, was cut short in a burst of violence on the south side of Indianapolis. On the evening of September 18, what began as a heated argument escalated to a fatal encounter. Gunshots shattered the peace, and when the chaos subsided, Thompson was left with a mortal wound.
