On May 17, 2015, authorities in Indianapolis, Indiana, initiated a homicide investigation following the discovery of a deceased male at a residence on the city's northwest side. The victim was identified as Abdul G. McGraw, a 34-year-old Black male who was found at a property located in the 5830 block of Big Oak Drive. Known affectionately to friends and family as "Trouble" or "Trub," McGraw was a well-loved figure in his community who had experienced significant personal tragedies prior to his untimely death. He had previously mourned the loss of his brother, Reginald McGraw, as well as his son, Adonis McGraw. At the time of his passing, he was survived by his parents, Henry McGraw and Estella Pinner, along with several children and extended family members. A funeral service celebrating his life was held at the Allen Chapel AME Church in Indianapolis shortly after the incident.
Despite the passage of time, the investigation into McGraw's death has not yielded a named suspect or resulted in any public arrests.
