On the early morning of September 14, 2014, violence erupted in the Haughville neighborhood of Indianapolis, claiming the life of 44-year-old African American male Ronald Bensen Andrews. The incident occurred in the darkness of the pre-dawn hours, shattering the quiet of the residential area. Around 2:27 a.m., the stillness on the 1000 block of North Warman Avenue was broken by the sound of gunfire, startling residents from their sleep.
