Daniel Neal Burns, a 15-year-old from Indianapolis, was tragically found dead on October 17, 2015, inside an apartment located in the 7200 block of Kingsford Drive on the city's north side. Burns had suffered a fatal gunshot wound, and his body was discovered just inside the door of the apartment. The investigation into his death quickly led to the arrest of 16-year-old Christian Qualls, who was charged with murder and carrying a handgun without a license.
