In the early morning hours of July 9, 2016, the life of Tristan Branch, a 26-year-old Black male from Chicago, was tragically cut short in Elkhart, Indiana. Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Rosedale Highrise apartment complex on West Indiana Avenue at approximately 2:30 a.m. Inside a second-floor apartment, they discovered Mr. Branch, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
