In Elkhart, Indiana, on December 23, 2016, a 13-year-old male named Devon Raye Sullivan was at a friend's house when he sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the neck. Medics were called to the residence on San Lu Rae Drive and transported him to Elkhart General Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
