In the late summer of 2021, a young life was tragically cut short in Elkhart, Indiana. Danton Munoz, a one-year-old male, died on Friday, August 27, 2021. The incident that led to the child's death involved gun violence.

On that Friday morning, Elkhart Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence on West High Street following reports of a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, they found that young Danton had been fatally shot.
