On the evening of October 12, 2016, a quiet residential neighborhood in Lafayette, Indiana, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Kristi Redmon, a beloved 52-year-old female art teacher who had spent two decades inspiring creativity in elementary students at Edgelea and Miami schools, was at her home in the 1300 block of Ridgeway Avenue.
