Monica Rhine, aged 35, tragically lost her life on August 13, 2016, in Lafayette, Indiana. The incident was ruled a murder-suicide by the Tippecanoe County Coroner, Donna Avolt. According to the autopsy, Rhine was shot three times by her boyfriend, 46-year-old Raymond Hastings, who then turned the gun on himself, committing suicide with a single shot to his head.
