In the early morning hours of May 9, 2017, the quiet of a Fort Wayne, Indiana neighborhood was broken by the sirens of fire trucks racing towards a house engulfed in flames on Normandale Drive. Firefighters battled the blaze, and as they worked to control the fire that was causing heavy damage to the home, they made a grim discovery in the backyard. There, they found the body of 53-year-old Mark Allen Schuette.
