Emmanuel Freeman, an 18-year-old from Fort Wayne, Indiana, tragically lost his life on June 27, 2016. His death was the result of a fatal shooting at the Diplomat Apartments complex on the city's southeast side. The Allen County Coroner's Office confirmed that Freeman died from gunshot wounds, marking the 17th homicide in the county for that year. His body was discovered around 4:45 p.m. inside an apartment at the complex, following a 911 call from a woman who found him.
