On a cold January evening in 2018, the life of 19-year-old Alyjah Mahammad was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The incident unfolded on Friday, January 5, 2018, leaving a community shaken and a family grieving the loss of a young man.
