Death by Force

On August 20, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred on the near northwest side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Jaleal Daeshawn Hurt. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Udell Street, which is just a few blocks south of Crown Hill Cemetery.

When police responded to the report of a person shot, they found Jaleal Daeshawn Hurt suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Hurt was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
