In the summer of 2018, the life of 29-year-old Tramane L. Scott was tragically cut short in a burst of violence that unfolded in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A Black male, Scott was fatally shot on the evening of Sunday, July 15, 2018, in the south-central area of the city. The incident, which also left another individual wounded, marked another grim statistic in the city's growing count of homicides for the year.
