Lamarion Jeremiah Bailey, an 18-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of Monday, January 29, 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He and a 17-year-old female, Adaija Armani Okey, were discovered deceased inside a vehicle in the 700 block of Romy Avenue. The cause of death for both individuals was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide. Lamarion, who was from LaGrange, Georgia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death was recorded as the 4th homicide in Allen County for the year 2024.
The investigation into the double homicide led authorities to identify 21-year-old Dionee White as a primary suspect. According to court documents that were unsealed in April 2024, a witness identified White as the shooter. Surveillance footage from the area reportedly captured two suspects backing their vehicle into an alley, approaching the victims' car on foot, and opening fire before fleeing the scene. The identity of the second suspect has not been publicly released. A warrant for White's arrest on two counts of murder was issued in February 2024.
After a search that spanned several months, Dionee White was taken into custody without incident on June 26, 2024. The arrest occurred when the Fort Wayne Police Department, with assistance from other law enforcement agencies, served a search warrant at a residence in the 900 block of Francis Street. White is currently being held in the Allen County Jail, facing two counts of murder for the deaths of Lamarion Bailey and Adaija Okey.
