On January 29, 2024, an investigation was initiated by the Fort Wayne Police Department following a shooting incident in the 700 block of Romy Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The incident occurred around 7:59 p.m. when police responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, officers found two victims, 17-year-old Adaija Armani Okey from Fort Wayne and 18-year-old Lamarion Jeremiah Bailey from LaGrange, Georgia, suffering from gunshot wounds inside a parked vehicle.
