In the summer of 2017, the Fort Wayne community was shaken by the violent death of Edward Albert Campbell II. On August 4th, the 39-year-old Black male was discovered deceased in his wheelchair. The cause of his untimely death was determined to be a result of gun violence. The incident prompted an investigation by local law enforcement, who have since been working to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting.
