On a warm September evening in a quiet Wichita neighborhood, a dispute between neighbors escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 48-year-old Brian Baker. The incident unfolded on September 12, 2025, in the 900 block of South Vassar Avenue, where Baker, a father of five, was enjoying the evening playing football with his children and other neighborhood kids in the street.
