In the summer of 2018, the life of Deontre Tre Borders-Moore Sr., a 21-year-old male, was cut short by gunfire in his hometown of Gary, Indiana. On the evening of Sunday, July 22, 2018, police responded to a call in the 1500 block of Lincoln Street. There, they discovered Borders-Moore unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
