Demetrius Townsel Jr., a 12-year-old boy from Chicago, was tragically shot and killed on May 16, 2020, in Gary, Indiana. The incident occurred near 26th Avenue and Pierce Street while Demetrius was sitting in the backseat of a car with his twin brother, Darius, during a visit to a relative.
