On January 18, 2015, in Gary, Indiana, the life of a young man named Gregory Anthony Marshall Jr. came to a tragic end. Known affectionately to his friends and family as "Shuggy," Marshall was 19 years old at the time of his death. He was a Black / African American male who had attended Lew Wallace High School. His body was discovered during the violent early weeks of 2015 in Gary, a period marked by several homicides in the area.
