In the winter of 2019, the life of Victor Grandberry, a 45-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Gary, Indiana. On February 17th, Grandberry was discovered under suspicious circumstances, the victim of a violent encounter that would ultimately be ruled a homicide. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head, a brutal end to a life that had touched many.
